SUSTAINABLE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

Sustainable design and construction techniques are used when we design building services systems for all projects. We ensure we use passive systems or measures that achieve a reduction in the heating or cooling load without the use of mechanical systems.

Our Building Services Engineers provide advice and guidance in conjuction with other members of the project design team on sustainable design and construction methods and green building technologies. These include ways to negate the need for high energy consumption heating and cooling systems within the design in order to reduce the carbon emissions of a development.

Our in-house Thermal Modelling service allows our Mechanical Engineers in London and Sussex to test-drive how sustainable the building design is and to analyse the appropriateness and benefits of a natural ventilation strategy or the passive design measures which have been proposed.
