JPA PREFERRED BIDDERS AS BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEERS FOR LAMBETH BSF SCHEMES
23rd March 2010

John Packer Associates (JPA) as part of the ENGAGE Consortium have achieved Preferred Bidder Status and will be providing Mechanical , Electrical Engineering and Public Health Design Services, BREEAM Assessment and Sustainability Consultancy services for Lambeth Council's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme, which is valued at up to £185m and will be delivered through a Local Education Partnership (LEP).

JPA were part of a consortium called Engage (incorporating NPS Group and its joint venture partner May Gurney). The 10-year contract, which is not dependent upon external equity or debt funding, comprises a complete end-to-end service solution for education including refurbishment, ongoing maintenance and facilities management, information technology and support, with JPA and NPS Group providing the sustainable design expertise for the partnership.

During the first five years of the contract, the LEP will deliver educational services, valued at up to £185m, to the Council's secondary school estate. The partnership is anticipated to begin work on the programme in September 2010.

This is a great achievement for JPA having being involved in two BSF bids and being successful in the North Lincolnshire BSF and achieving Preferred Bidder status in the Lambeth BSF.
