JPA are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) as members of the Low Carbon Consultants Register.
This is a body of professionals deemed competent to minimize energy use and carbon emissions from buildings both in design and operation.
Clients can be sure that buildings designed and operated by Low Carbon Consultants will meet the requirements of Part L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) and Building Control Officers can be assured that compliance is being signed off by suitably qualified professionals.

JPA are accredited BREEAM Offices, Schools, International, Bespoke, Code for Sustainable Homes & EcoHomes Assessors and can provide advice and guidance on compliance with these standards. Our sustainability team can also offer a dynamic Thermal Modelling Service that enables us to determine the thermal performance of a building at the design stage as well as day light analysis techniques; both requirements of a BREEAM Assessment.

DESIGN QUALITY INDICATOR
The Design Quality Indicator (DQI) is an initiative managed by the Construction Industry Council, sponsored by the DTI, OGC, CABE and Rethinking Construction that considers the building procurement process from the building occupier's point of view. The intention of the scheme is to improve the quality of buildings, paying more attention to the needs of the building occupants, and the impact of the building on the local and global environment. JPA were one of approximately one hundred Trailblazers that operated the system for a year before it was formally launched in 2003, and are now registered facilitators.

Sussex Heritage awarded John Packer Associates with a ‘Highly Commended’ for their design of a public information centre and public conveniences at the popular tourist area at Pevensey Bay, East Sussex in 2003.

WEALDEN EDUCATION AND BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP
Jim Quay is the Director involved in the local WEBP, whereby the organization committee has a close relationship with four of the local Community Colleges to better equip students for what employers require in the modern workplace. One significant success of the local group is the opening of a construction skills centre in Uckfield, in which local Community College students have the opportunity to try their hand at construction skills in order to see if they wish t pursue this as a career option.
